Welcome to the South Padre Island Nature Center!

Sea Life Exhibits and Touch Tanks

Get up close and personal with creatures of the deep. From sea anemones to moray eels, our exhibits house an array of local marine life.

Our Touch Tanks for children give them the opportunity to hold live starfish, sea urchins, snails, and hermit crabs. It’s a hands-on way for them to learn about respecting sea life.

As you enjoy our displays, our friendly and knowledgeable staff of volunteers are available to answer your questions about the mysterious inhabitants of the Gulf.
