Tift boats bring in off shore bird
As George and I cruised around to watch the last of the Texas International fishing Tournament boats bring their catch to the docks at South Point we saw a little bird in the water and here are some photos of it. It is an off shore bird that should be out to see so it must have spent a weary day on one of the yachts and then flew off at the dock only to land in the water unable to fly. As soon as I get word on what bird it is I will post the name. I think it is a shearwater. I will certainly be happy for any comments on the bird and its identity.
Also a young dolphin was being pestered by a Ramora yesterday and leaps many times to try to dislodge it. I missed the leaps as I had just left to pick up another group but George saw the huge leaps. I did manage to get photos of the Remora on the dolphin though. George and I figured it had to be a Remora to make this baby jump so high and so many times.
